Neriah’s Dance Career began with the Jiving Lindy Hoppers' The introduction to this historical dance was through an education project delivered by 'The Jiving Lindy Hoppers' it was to be the start of a very eventful relationship and became one of the major influences in her life. When she left school she joined the Jiving Lindy Hoppers a professional dance group. This gave her the opportunity to extend her knowledge and experience of the dance form. Neriah totally embraced every aspect of the dance with its rich cultural heritage and the social interaction necessary to inform her style of dance. Caz (Artistic Director of the Jiving Lindy Hoppers at the time) remembers Neriah's first trip to New York in 2002, and how she suddenly realised how she could harness the power of dance and the extent to which she could share its beauty with those she came into contact with. Neriah had a great love and respect for Terry Monaghan and Warren Hayes (fondly referred to as Woz) the founders of the Jiving Lindy Hoppers. She had the benefit of learning from two very special individuals who together taught her the discipline required to present the dance at its best. She understood the value of research paying homage to the original dancers who took time to share their stories. She developed genuine friendships within the company, including her love of ice-cream from Russell amongst the many other things and found mentors in the many people she came into contact with throughout her dance journey. Neriah applied herself and developed a particular affinity to tap dance, Charleston and Lindy Hop.
